Reflective Journal Week Two

After the lectures of the week I was reviewing the powerpoint slides and was surprised to see that “voting” was not listed as an action on the slide titled “Political Action”. Although elections and campagins were listed, I feel these are more towards the actual government parties and canadiates. In a democratic society the right to vote and the act of voting are the corner stones of a democratic society and government process. The act of voting is the single most important contribution and individual can make in determining the future of politics within a society. Without voting, no other political act will be viewed as a way to change the governments action or the beliefs of the public.
